How your pupils are performing at The King's

Assessment in our school is an ongoing process that helps us understand each child’s progress and plan for their next steps in learning. Teachers use a combination of informal observations, classwork, discussions, and short assessments to build a complete picture of each pupil’s strengths and areas for development. We also assess against the National Curriculum objectives to ensure children are meeting age‑related expectations, while providing additional support or challenge where needed. Regular feedback helps children understand how to improve, and we share progress with parents through reports, meetings, and ongoing communication so that we can work together to support every child’s learning journey.

In our most recent Parent and Carer Survey (January 2026), 89% of families reported that they feel fully aware of what their child is learning, and 82% said they are completely happy with how well‑informed they are about their child’s progress.

A very positive 93.4% of parents said they would recommend our school to other families.
