Welcome back to a busy Spring Term! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are all looking forward to another great term.
We had a very busy and eventful Autumn Term where we said goodbye to Mrs. Anderson who has now gone off on maternity leave. We are all looking forward to meeting her baby girl later in the term. Most of you will have met Miss. Curzon, who has worked in our class for the last few weeks of term. She will be working all day Tuesday to Friday for the Spring and Summer Term. Mrs Williams will be working all day Monday and Mrs Smith will be working as usual every morning.
For the first half of the term, our theme is 'The Frozen Planet'. We will be learning about:
- Polar animals
- Robert Falcon Scott, Polar Explorer
- Polar Stories like 'Lost and Found'
For the second half of the term, our main topic is Wild Africa. We will also be learning about Farms and the Easter Story.
Well done to all those children who read in the holidays. Remember when you listen to your child read at home, you need to sign their reading diary so they move along the reading track and get their certificates and prizes! Also, make sure your child has a labelled PE Kit in school throughout the whole term so they don't miss out on our PE lessons.
Remember we are here to help in whatever we can. Please come and see us if you need to.
