Residential Trips 2019

Residential Experiences

I am delighted to share the details of this year’s fantastic residential trips programme! Year 3/4 will be going to Walesby Forest Adventure Centre and Year 5/6 will be going to Kingswood!

Residential trips are truly incredible opportunities for children. They remember them for the rest of their lives! I personally consider them to be a crucial element in the profound personal development of children. Experiencing new things, whilst living with their friends, opens their eyes to a wonder of new learning.

William Gladstone have contributed a proportion of the cost from school funds, so we are pleased to offer these trips at an already reduced rate.

Year 3/4 Trip to Walesby:

This is a three day and two night trip from Monday June 3 to Wednesday June 5. Walesby is a well-established and hugely experienced Adventure Centre for school residential trips. I know the children will have a brilliant time there. The children will take part in a great range of activities; including High Ropes, Zip Wire, Climbing, Raft Building, Abseiling, Archery, Tunnelling, Aeroball, Problem Solving, Laser Tag, Fencing, Bouldering and much more.

The cost for this experience is £100 per child, or £75 per child if they receive free school meals. If you would like your child to take part, please send in a non-refundable deposit of £20 by Friday 28th September to secure a place. The remainder must be paid by Friday 29th March 2019 please.

Year 5/6 Trip to Kingswood:

This is a three day and two night trip from Monday June 3 to Wednesday June 5 at an action-packed and award-winning centre. It is going to be a fantastic experience! There is a huge range of activities to do, including Motor Sports (Quad Bikes), Zip Wire, High and Low Ropes, Abseiling, Raft Building, 3G Swing and much more! The food at the Kingswood Centres (especially breakfast) is always brilliant and all the rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

If you would like to explore their website, it is: www.kingswood.co.uk/index.php/activity-centres/peak-venture

The cost for this experience is £175 per child, or £150 per child if they receive free school meals. If you would like your child to take part in this truly amazing experience, please send in a non-refundable deposit of £20 by Friday 28th September to secure a place. The remainder must be paid by Friday 29th March 2019 please.

Many thanks for your continued help and support,
